It functions as a pressure-redistributing static mattress when the pump is not in use, while also offering the flexibility of active therapy when needed. A discreet, easy-to-attach pump enhances the surface by adding an extra level of pressure relief, ensuring adaptable care for varying patient needs.
At the patient interface, the mattress features specially cut foam castellations that promote effective pressure redistribution. Beneath the foam, integrated air cells can be inflated as required to deliver dynamic therapy, offering alternating pressure relief to further reduce the risk of tissue breakdown.
Importantly, the mattress maintains its pressure-redistributing properties in the absence of power, ensuring continuity of care and patient safety during pump disconnection or power interruption.
The hybrid mattress design reduces moving and handling issues and minimizes additional storage requirements.
